Weekend Weather?

Saturday was amazing. It got up to almost 70. We got a bit of a slow start, but Sat. afternoon our family decided to go on a bikeride. We rode probably a couple of miles from home to West Jordan's western themed children's playground. It was a great ride and so much fun to stop and play and the park.
Now Sunday was a bit of a different story. We woke up to a blanket of snow and nearly 30 mph winds. Now this gave us an idea. About a month ago Andrew was browsing the free ads on KSL and happened upon someone giving away snowshoes. We couldn't have been any luckier because when we brought home this box of misc. boots and shoes there was a pair of snowshoes to perfectly fit each of us (brand new, and not cheap either). We were so excited, but the weather was improving and we weren't sure if we would get the opportunity to try them out this spring. So I think yesterday's weather was just for us. We drove up the canyons a little ways and found a great spot. So, for the first time yesterday this Nield family "got their snow feet".
